Paul already has been inducted as a solo artist & with Wings so this is ludicrous anyway.  The impact of Paul McCartney & Wings in the 70's was only minimal at best no matter how popular at the time.  They were the lighter side of rock next to Led Zeppelin, Black Sabbath, Alice Cooper, Ted Nugent, Aerosmith, Kiss, AC/DC & Van Halen. They were the pop alternative to the Carpenters, Captain & Tennille, Barry Manilow & the Bee Gees.  Paul & his band Wings will never be inducted into the RNRHOF even though they're much better than any 80's/90's rock/pop groups.

You should listen to Hi Hi Hi, Junior's Farm, Girl's School & Spin It On if you don't think they played some rock.

Wayne, I said they RARELY played Rock. That means that they sometimes did, imo. I agree with you that those songs you listed are examples of when Wings played Rock. Here are a few more:

Mumbo
Little Woman Love
Live And let Die
Helen Wheels
1985
etc etc.

To put my point another way, the PERCENTAGE of Wings material that could be called ROCK is quite small.

I bet they'll get in regardless of how many rockers they actually had.

There's no need to induct Wings as mentioned by others in this thread.......Paul's solo career is what got him into the all of fame, and that includes the Wings releases....Wings isn't even an actual band, just Paul, Linda and Denny Laine.....the members were always changing.....

I don't think 1985 is a rock song or Live & Let Die even though they're both great but Helen Wheels rocks.

Yeah, that's what I thought, but I wasn't totally sure. Heh, and he played guitar on one of the most beloved Beatles tracks.......easily the king of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
