Since everyone is polling the crap out of this site, its my turn:

Jfarm, you'll have to clarify exactly how long the Inner Groove is to play for. Once a group of us decided to let the Inner Groove play on and on and on ..., using a vinyl record of course. Winner was the last person still grooving.
The winner, naturally, was me. I went though the groove for 9 hours.
I now like Revolution 9 better. It runs for UNDER 9 minutes!!
So should I vote, or set up a new poll (Sgt Pepper Inner Groove for 3 seconds versus Inner Groove for 9 hours)?
-
PS
I didn't really groove for 9 hours. The others left quickly, so for most of the time I was asleep. But I lied when my mates came back, to impress them.

My hat is off. You listened to the Inner Groove 11,700 times if my math is correct. The drugs must have been pretty potent that night.

I can't check it, but is it true that when the inner groove is played backwards, it clearly says 'We'll f*** you like Superman'?

That's what it sounds like to me.

whats sgt. pepper inner groove?
Its the 2 seconds of gibberish at the end of Side Two of Sgt Pepper. Wasn't on US releases, but I think it was included on the CD version. Took 'em like 8 hours to record it.

That Inner Groove always manages to freak me out. Especially if it is 2 in the morning, and I'm blaring it through the house with all the lights off. Even when I know it is coming, it still manages to scare me haha.
Revolution #9 all the way for this one. The White Album just wouldn't be the same without it. I've been finding myself listening to it a lot, and then promptly skipping over Goodnight.
-
Well, I voted for the Inner Groove. The Inner Groove just pwns it all.
-
Oh, you mean the inner groove is that thing at the end of "A Day In The Life" right after the really high pitched noise?
-
The drugs must have been pretty potent that night.
As always. 8)

If you're not expecting to hear that, then you won't. IMO, I think you kind of have to force yourself to hear that. "Turn me on, dead man" from a reversed "Revolution 9" is far more convincing to my ears.

You may be right, but listen! ;D [sound]http://h1.ripway.com/Bobber3/Beatles%20-%20Hidden%20track%20on%20Sgt.%20Pepper%20(Backwards).mp3[/sound]

;D ;D Thanks for posting that, now other members can listen and judge it for themselves. :)
I only said that the "We'll f*** you like Superman" part might be harder to hear because I've played it for my husband before, and he couldn't figure what it was saying until I told him. Still hilarious, though!
