I will upload it some time this week for those who are interested. I don't know how an album like 'The Wall' could be considered pretentious, I always thought it was more of Waters' autobiography losing his Father in Anzio. As the album progresses towards the end, it gets a little extreme. The only thing that is pretentious is that you presume to know everything about just about everything, including an album you haven't heard, but just by the musician's involved, the opinion/fact according to you has been made. Big Ol' High Horse.

I think some people consider Floyd's stuff to be pretentious because of the issues they tackle which ordinarily do not get addressed in rock music.

Quote from: Bobber
New version of Pink Floyd's The Wall
Several veteran rock artists have teamed to record a track-by-track tribute to Roger Waters / Pink Floyd's "The Wall." Due Sept. 27 via the Cleopatra Records' Purple Pyramid imprint, "Back Against the Wall" boasts the participation of Jethro Tull's Ian Anderson, the Doors' Robby Krieger and Yes' Rick Wakeman, Chris Squire and Steve Howe. Another former Yes alum, Billy Sherwood, produced the tribute, which also features King Crimson's Adrian Belew and Tony Levin, ELP's Keith Emerson, Styx's Tommy Shaw and Toto's Steve Lukather, as well as actor Malcolm McDowell, who provides spoken dialogue. "All the artists involved poured their hearts and soul into this body of work and it shows," Sherwood says. "It is with the utmost respect to Pink Floyd that we took the challenge."

I bought that, even wrote a review of it for another site.

Perhaps this will help you in some way (thanks to Bobber).

"This is a way to upload your bootlegs. If you haven't got it, first install WinZip. It's shareware, but usually you can use it, just ignore the line that says you have to buy the thing. You can find it here: http://www.winzip.nl. After you've installed this little piece of software, you can start uploading. I have Windows XP myself and this is written with that in mind.

1.     Put the cd into the drawer.
2.     Windows will ask you automatically what you want to do. Choose options:

'Cause thats what Roger was known for, right? Cute. Not the word I'd choose but I guess it makes sense.

What I thought was cute was the face and noise he made in reaction to that comment. Not the whole diatribe that took place afterwards. I didn't go further into that conversation because that's not what we were talking about. I posted the comment made by Adrian Maben to give an example of how far back this thing goes of people thinking their music borders on pretension. The rest of the conversation, while interesting, was irrelevant to the point I was trying to make.
