An underrated musician (people often think of The Doors as Jim Morrison plus those three other guys, but I think that Manzarek was at least as essential for that band as Morrison was), and for as far as I can tell a pretty nice guy too. I got to see him live with Robbie Krieger a few years ago and I thought they were still excellent. I've been checking their website regularly the last few months to see if they were coming over again anytime soon...

The rarely-seen (I haven't seen it!) Doors' film 'Feast of Friends' that came out during Morrison's lifetime is getting an official DVD/Blu Ray release on 11th November.

I haven't bought any 'new' product in the last five years outside 'Smile' and 'The Beatles at the BBC Volume 2', and all of a sudden, with George's 60s LPs, The Basement Tapes and this, the music industry's gone into overdrive to extract any monies I might have on my person.
