Well friends tomorrow is the day Ive been kinda dreading, I go into hospital for a new Aortic valve in my heart, its 'open heart' surgery so Im gonna be in there about a week all being well and then about 6 - 8 weeks recovery at home, Im hoping to be back on line in a week and a half or so after I get home, well thats the plan anyway ???
Soooooooooo.....I'll chat to y'all in about 10 or 12 days hopefully, have fun while Im gone ha2ha

Well its nearly 8 am here (Wednesday) in Brisbane, I leave in 3 hours, Im all packed and ready to go, just a couple of small jobs to do (isnt there always) strangely I slept well last night and I feel no anxiety this morning, I expected to be a wreck !! just want to get it done with really, Ive known Id eventually need this for 15 years so its a bit of a relief to finally get the bloody monkey off my back ;D
My lovely wife is a nurse so I will be in good hands when I get home.
Dmitry, thanks for the nice words about my singing, it doesnt sound great to me as it was recorded on a cheap little still camera so the microphone in it probably cost about a dollar :D
Anyway thanks all for your kind wishes, it really is truly appreciated by me.

Thanks for your good wishes and prayers, I think it helped as everything went well and Im back home now, obviously very delicate with the wires holding my sternum together till it heals, I had a couple of horrible days of nausea post op but after that it wasnt too bad, Ive lost 4gk (9lbs) and Ive started my exercise physio journey back to fitness, Ive bought a good treadmill (its a bit hot to walk the streets here atm) so I can measure distances accurately, I just walked 300 metres in 10 minutes.
Im waking every morning at 5 am and have to get up, I think its because I cant roll over have to stay on my back for obvious reasons and Im not used to sleeping on my back so that kinda sucks :)
Overall though Im extremely positive and determined to be twice as fit as I was, dont worry though I wont overdo it, Im an engineer so Im used to following instructions :)
Im on Warfarin forever now so Ive quit drinking as well as eating a very healthy diet (last 6 months) which contains no junk food at all.
