Beatlemania premiered on Broadway at the Winter Garden Theatre on May 31, 1977 and ran until October 17, 1979 for a total of 1006 performances.   

Beatlemania: The Movie began production in late 1980.  The film's cast featured Mitch Weissman (bass guitar), David Leon (rhythm guitar), Tom Teeley (lead guitar), and Ralph Castelli (drums).

I saw the show at The Winter Garden in July, 1977.  The original cast was...

Mitch Weissman-Paul
Joe Pecorino-John
Leslie Fradkin-George
Justin McNeil-Ringo

It was like going to a Beatles concert!
