styx and I am the Walrus
« on: June 08, 2005, 11:55:01 PM »

Has anyone checked out the Styx cover of I am the Walrus on the new Styx cd? I didn't even know that Styx put out an album untl I went to Best yesterday. I flipped over and say I am the Walrus. I called my friend at Universal to ask more questions and apparently it's a collection of covers from artists they admire. My friend also said there is a new studio version of Blue Collar Man on the cd as well. Now that is pretty sweet. They have a video at their site for I am the Walrus if anyone is interested in checking it out.

Just for clarification, Styx is dead. The group you are speaking of is not Styx, its just some group trying to sell records by using the name Styx. The only person in the current Styx group who was in it from the very beginning is the guitarist.

I mean c'mon Styx without Dennis DeYoung is not Styx.

I'd like to say thank you on behalf of the group and ourselves, and I hope we pass the audition.

's not a bad cover.

But I actually had someone play it for me off their iPod and then try to convince me it was better than the origina. WTF. o_o
