This thread is dedicated to the works of the amazing band The Beatles. Some of these threads could of been created before but I wanted to make one of my own. The Beatles were not only an inspiring band but a group of good chaps as well.
TO THE BEATLES! (beer)

Looks like I'm the only real fan out there.

No, I meant to say this when I read it before but didn't stick around long enough to do so:
HEAR HEAR!!!!!!!
Good on yer!
-
Haha, Hear Hear. :P
Without the Beatles I think, and this sounds a tad corny, but I'd be still depressed. There songs are just really uplifting and I really want to meet the remaining two, Paul and Ringo and tell them what how much they've helped me and what an honour it is to be able to listen to their music. The thing I like about them is that they aren't up themselves. In the book I'm reading: The Lost Beatles Interviews they sound so genuine. I would love to meet them. It would be one of the best days of my life.
-
Beatles forever!
I agree, their songs are very uplifting- Here Comes The Sun, Getting Better, etc. All very warm and inspirational songs.
-
To me the Beatles are much more than a musical group. They are a way of life, a style,... I admire them not only as musicians, but as real peple, and what's more, I love JOHN, and I fell in love with him when I was only ten. They have marked my life, and they changed it completely when I fisrt saw them on television. I've grown up with them, which means they are part of my life, and will always be. Always!
-
(http://jm.g.free.fr/smileys/unclassified/smiley_abtu.gif) The Beatles changed my life. So thank you to John, Paul, George and Ringo for creating such brilliant music and brightening the world up. Hear hear!
-
they r the best
-
You've all said it perfectly. Just perfectly. Hear hear deux.
-
The Beatles are to me much more than a band. They've sucedeed in a way that anyone should recognize their talent, if it someone doesn't like some of the songs.
They've been very uplifting for me and they will always be the greatest band in History.
-
The Beatles will always be remembered. In our hearts and in our words as we sing their songs.
-
The Beatles rock the 60's \m/ ;-D

And the seventies, and the eighties, and the nineties and forever! :P

Lucy, I live in Florida and was hit by Hurricanes Frances and Jeanne. Here Comes The Sun was something I was singing to in my head the day after both hurricanes.
It's true -- The Beatles are an amazing band. It's not that every song they ever did was better than every other song any other band did (I can think of songs done by other bands that are very high-caliber), but the fact that they have such a large QUANTITY of these great pieces is incredible.
I can't make a Top 50 list without living songs out!
-
beatles all the way!!

yup your right :D

:D I only wish that some of the controversy around their breakup and the firing of Pete Best for Ringo Starr would go away.
The weird thing is, my friend Jared looks exactly like Pete Brst but with Blonde hair. It's really creepy.
-
That reminds me... I've always thought Brian Jones looked like a Beatle but blonde. Have you ever imagined the Beatles blod? I sometimes do, hee heee!
-
No I can't say I have. I like darker hair so I try not to imagine them with blonde hair. I like them just the way they are.
-
The same happens to me. I immediately discard that idea as stupid! I love JOHN the way he is!!!
-
Beatles rules ;)
-
Indeed they do. Imagine life without them, it would suck.
-
AMEN to that..Beatles forever
-
They are and allways will be the Biggest band of all time! You will never see another band that takes America by storm again and you will never see a band with 5 of the top ten songs on all (AM) radio stations in North America at once like the Beatles did!
-
They did Top 6.
And, They didn't just take America over by storm, but Europe, Australia, Japan etc.
-

No, they didn't have 6, only 5. Pikers.
-
I always thought it was six. Strange.
-
Nah....sorry...
1.)Can't Buy Me Love
2.)Twist & Shout
3.)She Loves You
4.)I Want To Hold Your Hand
5.)Please Please Me
The next closest was #16.
-
On Australian Idol they were singing Beatles song and this obsessed Beatles fan had a newspaper from Australia saying the Beatles had the top six. Maybe it was only in Australia.

I'm going to write them each a letter. I don't know where to send it however.
-
I worte a letter once to Paul and Gerge and Ringo. paul sent me a letter saying thanks (i just gave Linda a pair of earings for their anniversary wedding) and Paul sent me the ohm symbol. Ringo didn't send me anything. Anyway, I love JOHN, but still I wouldn't get in touch with Yoko. Yoko came to my home town some years ago and I even didn't approach to her for an autograph...
-
How do you send them a letter? Your so lucky.
-
If I could do one last thing before I died t'would be to meet Paul or Ringo now. The one thing I hate about being young is all the opportunities that I would have missed out on to meet any of the Beatles or just even to see them play, anything at all. I can't remember the last time I went a day without listening to their music, or even a song or anything crossing my mind, *salutes them*
-
I know, I feel like I missed out on the turning point of the century in music.
-
Ringo is always touring with his All Starr band and Paul might tour next year so there are some chances to see them
-
i cant wait for the paul tour hope it happens. and heres to hoping ringo comes by too!
-
once i said i dont know how i would survive without the beatles and my moms answer was well u wouldnt know that they even exsisted but i personally would feel sometihng missing from my life
-
The Beatles are going to listened to forever! My 9 year old sister now listens to them, and now all her little friends do. Sometimes, my sister pretends my room is hers so she can show off all my Beatles posters haha... *sigh* I miss John and George :'( I'm so thankful they were around as long as they were though. Go Bealtes!
This year, the day before John's birthday, my friend and I bought a birthday card, and printed out a picture of him, we wrote him a letter in the card, and I wrote the lyrics for Imagine on the back of the picture. We put it all in an envelope, and at midnight, we burned it, in a respectful way, it was pretty cool, we cried for 3 hours and watch the Imagine Biography.
George's death date is coming up, I've already started crying every night. :'(

That's cute...
Anyroad, my exams begin on 8 December. Pretty freaky...I hope it doesn't mess up my exam, but of course I will be thinking of him that day. And I know George's 'day' is coming up...
