Mackets Lane again, sorry, this time with its write-up.

In what is actually Smithdown Place and Mather Avenue are the nearby barbers shop, at the time owned by the Bioletti's and also the fire station.

The front page of Liverpool's local daily newspaper 'The Echo'

In Mathew Street, this is the No.1 singles wall as Liverpool is in the World book of records as having the most No.1 UK singles from any city.

The blue plaque in the Kensington district of Liverpool marking the house where the Quarrymen made their now world famous recordings.

Thanks again.

Liverpool 8 plays a significant role in Beatles locations as 'Dingle' aka the Dingle where Ringo lived and was schooled is in L8 as was the art college, Institute (Lipa) and Ye Cracke pub for instance and so are the next 4 places.

Now for some of the boys Liverpool venues.

Two of Allan Williams' places.

And these 3 are in the north end of the city.

Yes fendertele, they reproduced that front page on their special issue commemorating 125 years of the newspaper. They must have regarded it as very special, it became one of their best selling issues ever that 8th Dec 1980.

You won't see many of these places on the council run Magical Mystery Tours that take in about 20 places and you're rushed for pictures which you have to queue for as they're on a tight schedule.

Free and easy with a fellow Beatle nut is the way to go............

Thanks again for the great artifacts.

Any chance of seeing the interiors of : Art College, 7 Percy Street, 3 Gambier Terrace

I read somewhere that the Art College is going to be replaced by a John Moores University. Is it still going to happen?

Ged, stop it.  You're going to make us all want to move to Liverpool. :P ;)

Wouldn't it be nice to live daily life and see the Beatles' faces everywhere...hmm...

Oh yeaaaahhhh!  8)
Liverpool (actually all of the UK) is near the top of places I want to visit before I die :D.

I have to wonder if it makes Paul and Ringo feel funny when (if?) they go back to Liverpool to visit, and there're their faces everywhere!
