I hate the song and the whole Killroy thing, but Dennis DeYoung from STYX wanted to make a futuristic concept album, hence Killroy, and took the idea to the board of their record company. The board members practically laughed him out of the office and DeYoung was pretty p*ssed about the whole thing. The record label eventually gave in and allowed them to record it. The final tally = The worst album STYX ever did and the end of DeYoung with the band. (he has mental issues)

As for the song, I think its about a robot that actually has feelings and he is questioning this and his existence. I'm probably wrong and i'm NOT going to listen to the song to doublecheck.

It was the 80's. I mean really, do we have to say anymore?
