(8/9/04) A man identified as Ringo surprised the locals in St. Augustine, Fla., last week with a surprise appearance at a local museum, played the piano at a ballroom, and made other appearances in the area, reported St. Augustine.com, which carried a picture of a man who didn't look a whole lot like our Mr. Starr. We received word from a source close to Ringo that the real Ringo was in England last week, not Florida. So the Florida Ringo was a fake, according to our sources.

LOL! Great story! That could have been any one of us... where was Mr C on those dates!!?

looks like hes had a savoy truffle or ten since we last saw him!

check out his Beetle shirt! Subliminal messages right there. People see the sunglasses and the peace sign, then the Beetle and their mind makes a perilous jump to "Look its Ringo!" Clever man
-
WOW - his waist-line is higher than Simon Cowells!!!!
-
Ringo doesn't have as much hair as this guy... anymore.
-
Jeez. He looks like a million other putzes out there. Someone would have to be pretty dim to buy that crap.
-
Saw this on another forum.......I figure most people don't know what Ringo looks like today, anyway, so it was an easy fool.

Not so fast there, Chumley! I'll match ya pound for pound and then some! (I know, pathetic, but I gotta have SOMEthing to be proud of!)
:D

A drum-off then Chuck. Loser has to run to Krispy Creme.
-
I was thinking more of a tub off.
Hell, my kids are gone all week and I thought I could drum but I have been so busy with chores and such that now they come home tomorrow and I won't be able to (too many other things to do tomorrow).
I don't like to drum with them in the house because, obviously it is loud. And I drum along to music, so I have that cranked to ear-bleeding level so I can hear it. It's best if I'm alone. But sometimes they'll hide in their rooms and I can do a bit, but then I tend to hold back which sucks. You really can't drum well softly...you HAVE to really hit the damn things to get the bounce back. That saves you half the work.
Anyway, I imagine you could drum rings around me right now, so I will be making a run to Krispy Kremes. :)

Sorry Chuck, but you win. I've had a broken left wrist with three pins in it for the last 6 weeks. I figured i'd make this challenge due to the fact that neither of us could lose. We'll both drive, hows that?
Your right about everything you said about playing. I have to lay into them to really enjoy it and play my best (screw the brushes. LOL), but lets be honest, its an instrument that makes about as much noise as an airplane taking off. I'm with you, I try to be curtious, but sometimes,,,,,.

Yeah, the only thing more annoying than the drums is probably bagpipes. :)
-
Here dammit! I even sprung for your coffee.

Thanks! Its almost done with now. Maybe some rehab though.
Speaking of the kilt, that gives me an idea for the real world thread.
