'Norwegian Wood' - Isn't It Good? Yes, It Is: Japanese Film Screens at Memphis Brooks Museum of Art

A Japanese story of tragic love and sexual awakening and longing and frustration directed by Vietnam's Tran Anh Hung, "Norwegian Wood" is as melancholy and fragile and at times even as lovely as the John Lennon composition from which the movie borrows its name (heard in its original Beatles version during the closing credits, and performed, in part, in a voice like a butterfly's wing by actress Reika Kirishima during the film).
