Thanks, Kelley! Yes, she is home; I drove up to get her last Thursday. We had a great time on the drive back, singing along to silly kids' Christmas carols from some old CDs I had in the car. We counted 12 exits (out of, like, 14) between Fargo and Bismarck that read "No Services"; that's why I get so anxious and usually rent a car. Fortunately, both the car and the weather held out.

I’m glad you two had such a nice time driving home, Kathy. It looks like our white Christmas is melting away, a little everyday. Oh well! There wasn’t any snow for the first Christmas either!

I hope you have a white Christmas. We do have snow on the ground now, but those horrible wind chills are back: 30 below for the next few nights, brrrr. Daytime highs in the below-zero single digits. Our dog will have to get his exercise indoors this week!

It worked Kathy! It started snowing last night, then stopped until sometime this morning. Then there was a lake-effect white out while we were opening our presents. Fortunately, no one came and moved our tree and presents outside like that L.L. Beam commercial! I hope you and the kids are having a great Christmas Day. Those single digits are heading here so our dogs will likely lock up when they are forced outside. They monkey around then that happens.

I'm so glad, Kelley! I'll have to look for that LL Bean commercial; I don't think I've seen that.

The kids and I had a great day; thanks! Actually they have Christmas Eve day through Christmas morning, and then they go to their father's -- and I curl up with a good book and spend the day napping and decompressing.

I hope you and your family had a great day as well. Were all your kids able to make it home?

today was high of -8 degrees F, wind chill - app says it feels like -28 F, and we were out in it walking through old Quebec.

Yes. We hit 40 degrees (104 Fahrenheit) yesterday. It was miserable. Luckily it’s cooling down this week.

It has considerably thanks Kelley. We seem to get one awful weekend a summer here. Hopefully that was it and we can have simple hot weather for the remainder.
