He's had some great solo albums as a solo artist since the demise of Zeppelin while my favorite Robert Plant songs are Burning Down One Side, Big Log & Tall Cool One.

I never could get into it. They played a lot of it when if first came out and I tried, but it was too light rock for me. I mean, he came from LED ZEPPELIN and then he's doing songs like Sea of Love. I didn't get it. But that's just me. I was into heavier stuff at the time. Like Led Zeppelin.

I know Robert Plant's solo albums weren't as heavy as his days with Led Zeppelin but they still rocked while Rockin At Midnight is a great track from The Honeydrippers & much better than Sea Of Love.  BTW, Zeppelin wasn't happening in the 80's so to speak Sandra.

I know Led Zeppelin wasn't around in the 80's Wayne, but that's when I was getting into them as I was a little kid when they were around. I'm into the Beatles now and they haven't been around for 35 years. I really tried to like Plant's stuff just because I WAS so into Zeppelin, it just didn't happen. I was more of a head banger at the time. You can stop treating me like a moron now Wayne. I don't appreciate it.

"Pictures At Eleven" was the first CD I ever bought, just out of curiosity and it, for the most part, is outstanding. I like alot of his solo stuff, but he's in the same box as ex- Beatles, you will always be compared to the past. Is it fair? No, and its a very difficult, if not impossible standard to maintain.

When I first gave Plant's solo stuff a listen, I was a teenager. So I had a different perspective. I haven't heard a lot of it so who knows how I'd feel now if I tried it again. I'm not that into Zeppelin anymore, so I don't think I'd be that into his solo stuf. His voice isn't that appealing to me anymore.

I'm in the mood for a melody, I'm the mood for a melody, I'm in the mood . . .

That crap is just embarrassing!

Robert Plant has had his ups & downs as a solo artist after the demise of Led Zeppelin just like the former Beatles but his first three solo albums(excluding The Honeydrippers) are his BEST with Now & Zen hitting his peak!!!!!
