You forgot Octopus's Garden, m.c.
And he got part credit on Free as a Bird and Christmas Time is Here Again.
Quite prolific!
But the answer is two on his own.
-
Wow is that it? I never really thought about it till now.
-
Hey wait, he DID get partial credit on "Dig It" and "Maggie Mae" (although that one was traditional it was arranged by all 4 Beatles)

D'OH!
Thanks for providing the RIGHT answer.
-
Don't worry m.c.
It's not his best song.
But then neither is Don't Pass Me By!

ringo altho not a prolific song writer was responsible for many a colorful phrase.he came up with a hard days night, eight arms to hold you and others.his wry wit added many a twisted phrase.

Plus, his rampant sex appeal got all of the honeys interested in the band.

-
ok, but i only hope, the ones that will do the quiz won't find this thread...
1. before the beatles were named the beatles, how many names did they have? i know about 4:
the quarry men
johnny and the moondogs
the beat brothers
the silver beatles
is that correct?
2. what was the most selling single? i suppose
i want to hold your hand.
what about that???
-
2. Hey Jude.
-
1. the rainbows, the beatels(thanks stu),not the beat brothers(that was roy young, tony sheridan, ringo starr and colin something or other.there were three different line ups for the beat brothers also)
-
thank you!
2. how many copies of hey jude are sold?
and 1:
the rainbows
the quarry men
johnny and the moondogs
the beatels
the silver beatles
what about that hamburg ep with tony sheridan, wasn't that by the name of beat bros.?
but have a big thanks so far!

Paul and John performed a few nights as The Nurk Twins.
There was also a moment when Long John Silver was in there.
In fact your question isn't easy.I think you need to specify.
Narrow it down to groups with John and Paul for example.
-
well, i'm gonna do it that way: i propose some and one should guess which three are right or very similar to truth...
thank you!

2. how many copies of hey jude are sold?
[/quote]
3,750,000 roughly if we're talking about the album in 1970
10 million roughly if we're talking about the single
-
I'm pretty sure I wanna hold your hand sold more than Hey jude
