i'm preparing a beatles-quiz and want to know the correct answers ;), so can anybody tell me, how many beatles songs did ringo write? i know about >don't pass me by<!

You forgot Octopus's Garden, m.c.

And he got part credit on Free as a Bird and Christmas Time is Here Again.

Quite prolific!

Hey wait, he DID get partial credit on "Dig It" and "Maggie Mae" (although that one was traditional it was arranged by all 4 Beatles)

ringo altho not a prolific song writer was responsible for many a colorful phrase.he came up with a hard days night,eight arms to hold you and others.his wry wit added many a twisted phrase.

ok, but i only hope, the ones that will do the quiz won't find this thread...

1. before the beatles were named the beatles, how many names did they have? i know about 4:

the quarry men
johnny and the moondogs
the beat brothers
the silver beatles

is that correct?

2. what was the most selling single? i suppose

i want to hold your hand.

what about that???

1. the rainbows,the beatels(thanks stu),not the beat brothers(that was roy young,tony sheridan,ringo starr and colin something or other.there were three different line ups for the beat brothers also)

Paul and John performed a few nights as The Nurk Twins.
There was also a moment when Long John Silver was in there.
In fact your question isn't easy.I think you need to specify.
Narrow it down to groups with John and Paul for example.

3,750,000 roughly if we're talking about the album in 1970
10 million roughly if we're talking about the single
