It was rehearsed as i've read in books & heard by beatle people.
You could image Brian Epstein shaking in his boots thinking,
'christ, john..don't swear!' ;D :P

John and Brian would move to Spain. John would murder Brian in a drug/alcholhol frenzy in 1966.

I'd give him some credit. He'd make a handy living knocking out TV theme music (maybe even the odd UK movie)

George would join the Moonies and never be heard of again. Ringo goes on to win Best Actor Oscar for his portrayal of an alcoholic, drug adicted ex-pop star down on his luck. The award is presented by Betty Ford.

Priceless!!!
Of course, Pete Best, his name unsullied by the "Beatles swear at Queen" scandal launches a solo career. As Bestmania sweeps the world...........

Quote from: 63
[...]I disagree with raxo: because it was rehearsed, it seems to have lesser meaning and it was probably the reason why he was nervous about it. I would have been more 'typical John' if it had come up as an impromptu thing. Now it seems to be a more reasonable thing instead of coming from the heart.
It was not me who doubted about if the Royal Variaty Performance's remark about jewelery was rehearsed or not ... and the fact that it was rehearsed shows us that they felt very confidence ...
Quote from: 297
[...]and because it was premeditated it's more important and meaningful to me than if it would have been one of those John's improptus ... it means that they had confidence and not that they only had confidence just at that very moment of the intro to the song ... [...]
... all of them and not only John ... it was THEIR decision and not one of John's impromptus, and that's why it's so meaningful ...

I posted this ...
Quote from: 297
[...]...to play in the Royal Royal Variety Performance 8 monts after their first album was released so they had to feel very confidence ... enough to even say what John said in the intro to Twist And Shout  ;D ...
[...]
... because two pages ago we're talking about:
Quote from: 551
[...] It is amazing, but I think a lot of it comes down to confidence.  When you get good feedback as an artist, it encourages you to try still more things.  And then those things come across as original and fresh to the audience, so they respond positively. [...]
