I wonder if we'll get a soundtrack album remixed with all the music from the film?
You know, the Magical Mystery Tour album isn't actually a real album...

Me too; the box looks interesting, especially the book 8)
I'm not fan of the movie-plot, but the videos to the songs are classics.

I can't wait to see the book too. I have the Capitol LP with the full sized booklet inside.
The movie plot is pretty cool...in a late 60s sort of way. ;)

Now you make me jealous about the full sized booklet of the Capitol LP... :P
The movie is very spontaneous, kind of travel through the late psychedelic era. When I watched it for the first time as a teenager, I really felt like being in the 60's. The plot could have been worse, but it could have been better too IMHO.

Oh, very cool! I suppose it's too much to hope it'd be shown at one of my local theaters. :-\ I will definitely be on the lookout for the box set.

Don't feel bad; it won't make it here either! At least we have a way to work around that. Remember the days before DVDs and videos? I thought I was never going to see Gone With the Wind! Then they finally had it on TV.

Got my copy yesterday Noticed on the main menu on The Magical Mystery Tour DVD there are 2 Easter Eggs if you press left after Play Film click the half circle you will see a Missing Dining Room Scene & if you go to the right after Audio Options click the right half circle and you will see Jessies Blues. Also there are Easter Eggs on the lower stars above the main menu

Right, Euan. Toggle to and click on the lower shooting star on the left and you see the fish and chips shop scene. Click on the lower shooting star on the right to see Magic Alex singing Walls Of Jericho.

It sounds and looks great, Dave! I never thought they would be able to clean up the original 16mm film this well. They did a great job!
Nothing new on the mix. The Dolby stereo track complements the superb video.
-
It's pretty neat how they hid those segments on the main menu.
They must be clues!! ;D
-
The picture book is excellent. And Paul's commentary is priceless!

Is it set up for 5 Channel Home Theatre? If so I might have to look into it!
