Irish Dedication to British star?
« on: August 27, 2005, 09:46:23 PM »

It does ring true that politics doesn't get mixed into R&R at times. such is with the Irish Band U2, who made dedications to the rock legend, Lennon. One of the best dedications that those Irish rockers made was during their song Bullet The Blue Sky in the 2001 Elevation tour at Boston. Britain and Ireland has always had problems but Bono has always said that John and the rest of the beatles are his idols and one of the reasons he got into music. maybe hes just a jealous guy, or maybe just crippled inside, but Bono has kept Lennons music going and kept john's spirit alive. pick up the U2 Elevation Tour: Live in Boston and watch Bullet the Blue Sky. it will send a cold chill up your spine.

I don't really like tributes to other famous people, unless I'm actually interested in the person. And even then they have to be damn good. The original Candle in the Wind, for example.

I suggest we'll all stop mentioning the name of John's murderer.

I refuse to even mention his name... he doesn't deserve it.

Also nice ad for U2's DVD too lol
