Hello Goodbye

In the early 70s I had trouble telling these two songs apart...

I think Rod Stewart needed that crib sheet so he wouldn't start singing Maggie May.   ;D

They do sound pretty similar.  Both good songs though from my favourite Stewart era.

A favourite deep cut is when Rod was just hanging around the studio in England and so did the vocals for this Aussie bands song.

Don't they now, Moog!  Look how seamlessly Rod Stewart and The Faces move from You Wear It Well to Maggie May...

You certainly can't miss that voice!  Thanks for that, Moog.

Moog, Kim Carnes sounds a lot like Rod Stewart.  Here's cool mash-up of the two of them...

And here's both of them singing a duet of Tonight's The Night...

I just realized Bonnie Tyler sounds a lot like Rod Stewart too...

I'd like to see and hear a Rod Stewart, Kim Carnes and Bonnie Tyler Trio.   ;D

All You Need Is Love

Still indulging in my wanderlust fantasies. I love the line "If we couldn't laugh, we would all go insane." So true. It reminds me of the first few devastating years after the divorce. Sometimes the kids and I would end up being very silly together. It was that or cry.

Back to wanderlust. . . This is another favorite song of mine.

It's even more impressive watching and hearing Aaron Neville and Linda Ronstadt perform this duet live...

Linda Ronstadt complemented Aaron Neville's solo elegantly.

She could sing beautifully with just about anyone...

Linda Ronstadt joined The Rolling Stones one night in the late 70s to sing Tumbling Dice with Mick Jagger as a duet.  I'm still searching for a video of that...

That must have been somethin!
