Listed on Amazon at 336 pages

The edition I have is 160pages

has anyone seen the new edition, I wonder if it's been fleshed out with content, or it's the same book with a different layout.

finally saw one at the book store - it was sealed, so I couldn't see inside. I wasn't going to pay $60 to satisfy my curiosity.

Thanks to 'New', 'On Air' 'Vol 1 Remaster' & 'In Tune' it's been an expensive couple of months.

I've got mine still sealed and sitting quite nicely on my Beatles bookcase.  Not sure whether to wait for the Tune In book (deluxe) to come and read that before going into the Beebook.  I've only heard good things about the Howlett book.  Given it's probably the place where the most valuable collection of Beatles material was produced outside of E.M.I., it's worth reading about in depth.

Yes, it's been an expensive time!  But splendid!

Online in The Netherlands:
Mark Lewisohn Extended Special Version: € 169,-
Kevin Howlett's book in hardcover: € 39,-

Total: € 208,- which is USD 281 and GBP 174. Meaning your price is not such a bad deal apparantly.
