Wild Life is so great.....I love all his 70's stuff, mostly because it never seemed force like what would come after.....great album you can put on in the background and relax to....I could see people being disappointed, but it definitely isn't harmful to one's ears/mind..

no.  Although maybe some people like it.  RAM, Band on the Run and Flaming Pie are my personal favs of his.  You could always just go for Wingspan tough.

PRESS TO PLAY is Paul's second worst album. It at least has 2 decent songs on it: I like  'Press', and 'Pretty Little Head', ..... maybe even 'Only Love Remains" (yecch, what a terrible album now that I think of it) ...... but it's better than Paul's worst - DRIVING RAIN - which has ZERO good songs on it, and atrocious lyrics.

McCartney II is mostly unlistenable to me. Press To Play is 'certainly not his best work'. His more recent work has far better songs than his albums from the 80's, but I have to admit I don't listen to it very much. BOTR is definitely his best.

Why does some people hate Driving Rain?  The reviews seem to have been pretty good.  Of course, look at the Rolling Stone review for the "Ebony and Ivory" album--five stars?!

I'd say the critics have actually been pretty easy on Paul.

Back To The Egg could have been a great rock album from McCartney & Wings but it's lacking any edge with only a few good tracks trying to be current at the time even though the album cover is excellent tkitna.

'Back to the Egg' is probably my favorite Paul Solo LP. The 'Rockestra' segue into 'To You' is worth the price of admission alone.

BTTE could have been a better rock album by Paul & Wings if he could have done more with the concept of the song Rockestra with other rock legends as in Pete Townsend & John Bonham since it only has a few great tracks like Spin It On.
