Okey, someone may want to change the subject on this thread and add "and summer 2009" after "November 2008".
Here are the new pictures from this summer and me and gf's visit to London.
7 Leicester Place, former address of the club Ad Lib. The Beatles had their own table here. Just after the doors in the background is the elevator where John, George and their wifes felt the excitement of their first LSD trip.
The club Bag O Nails where Paul first met Linda. Paul had his own table here.
The toilets at Broadwick Street. A scene including John was filmed here for the comedy show "Not only...but also" in November 1966.
Flood Street, Chelsea. The place situated here is Chelsea Manor Studios and on the 30th of March 1967 the cover for the Pepper album was taken in here in Studio 4
.
20 Manchester Square, former hq of EMI. The original building is now demolished.
Flat L, 57 Green Street, Mayfair. The only flat the fab four shared together.
Knole Park, Sevenoaks. We took the train to Sevenoaks, 30 minutes outside of London to visit Knole Park where the videos for Strawberry Fields Forever and Penny Lane was shot. (If you plan to visit the park, which is very beautiful, bring good shoes! It was bigger than we thought and it was hot, over 30C every day we spent in London)
34 Montagu Square. Ringo Starr lived in the lower flat from 1965. He also borrowed it out to friends such as Paul McCartney, Jimi Hendrix and John Lennon. The cover for the "Two Virgins" album was shot in here. John and Yoko was also arrested for drug possession in this apartment in 1968.
76 Old Compton Street in Soho. The Magical Mystery Tour movie was edited here at Norman's Film Productions during autumn and winter 1967.
Famous photo location at the back alley Rupert Court.
Knole Park again. It was hard to find the exact spot where the tree from the SFF video stood, but somewhere in this area I think
We also visited other music places in London, related to Jimi Hendrix and The Rolling Stones and Bob Dylan. I bring you this picture, familiar ha?
17 St Annes Court, Soho. Trident Studios. Hey Jude was recorded here, and some other songs too. George also used the studio for the All Things Must Pass album.
Asher house, 57 Wimpole Street. When Paul was together with Janes Asher he lived here between November 1963 and the beginning of 1966. It was here that Paul "dreamt" Yesterday.
The basement of the Asher house at Wimpole Street. In october 1963 Paul and John sat down in here and wrote I Want To Hold Your Hand.
I also have some other pictures of some surroundings in Knole Park and such, but i will post them in a few days if anyone's interested
Enjoy!
