Hours after performing in front of 26,000 fans in Moscow, Sir Paul McCartney was on the plane home for an equally important concert date.This time he was in the audience – and the performer was his only son, James.The crowd in a North London bar amounted to no more than 100. But 34-year-old James was delighted with the reception he received from a family party which also included his elder sisters Mary and Stella.

Surprise guest appears at James McCartney show in London (pictures)

When James McCartney appeared at the Borderline Club in London on Monday, a celebrity was in the audience.No, it wasn't his father Paul McCartney. It was Yoko Ono.  Harold Montgomery, who saw the show, sent us an email (with pictures in the slideshow) Saturday after getting back into the States."Just got back from UK and I had the chance to see James McCartney in concert at a small venue, the Borderline, April 2. I enjoyed his show very much. Yoko Ono was there as well."

Paul McCartney's son, James, followed in Dad's footsteps Tuesday and played the Cavern Club in  Liverpool ( Pics, video)

His father's group, the Beatles, played there 292 times. Donna Jackson, who attended the younger McCartney's show, said, "James was clearly very nervous tonight, and never seemed to relax until the very last song.  He mentioned the fact that his dad had played on the very same stage, and at the end he thanked Liverpool for making him so welcome.  He also thanked the Beatles!
