Thank you marshall.
In October 1960 I was eight and living in NYC while twenty year old John (Lennon) was playing seven hours a night at the Kaiserkeller. It has been said that he was desperate for success.
John (Kennedy) desperately wanted to be the next American president, and that very same month visited my Manhattan neighborhood to make a campaign speech. Afterwards, he came into the crowd and shooks some hands. He looked like a movie star, very deeply tanned and grinning from ear to ear. I was near the front, so he approached me with an outstretched hand. I went into panic mode and shrunk back, quickly eaten up by the crowd.
I've always regretted being so afraid to touch greatness like that.
