I Fought The Law was written by Sonny Curtis in 1958.  He was a friend of Buddy Holly and joined The Crickets in 1959 after Buddy's death.

Dave, there are better sounding Youtube clips of the song that don't have the video.

I always liked Todd. I'm in the process of acquiring all of his solo stuff and his work with Utopia.

I love this song! My first college roommate was from Philly and played Rundgren a lot. But that's not why I got a new roommate.  ;D

Turn Turn Turn mono vinyl.  I bought the first 5 Byrds records in glorious 60s mono from Sundazed Records.  Mr. Tambourine Man sounds great and the pressings are nice and quiet so far.  McGuinn's 12 string is more in your face in mono than in stereo.
