I love Coming Up. The album version. I haven NO idea why the live version was so much more popular. All of the quirkiness was taken out of it! The album version is fresh and original. And probably a little ahead of its time.

And the video is great. I showed it to my students and they kept freaking out because there were so many Pauls! It's funny how his Beatle Paul looked exactly the same as actual Beatle Paul. He looked about 21 again! What was he, late thirties at this point?

Well, Sandra, you've done it!  You've found the irrefutable evidence which finally puts an end to the nearly forty year old rumor!

I like the song.  I was kind of freaked out when I first saw the music video...Pauls everywhere!   ??)  But I love drummer Paul best, for some reason...he looks so goofy and adorable.

Coming Up - Is one of McCartney's best songs ever, Beatles, Wings, solo, whatever!

I remember when I first heard it, I said wow McCartney is really getting down to the real nitty gritty with this one.  An excellent, brilliant fast funky rocker!

the live version of this song is the best, but I don't remember which version and where it was performed, anyway very funky song. I like it, even John liked this song, so it's obvious that this song rocks.

Forgive me if i'm wrong but isn't this the song that got John making music again in 1980. I thought i'd read somewhere some time back that   he heard it and said, ''if he's still churning stuff out like that''

Even if that's the case, it's worked in my opinion.

I like the song, it's ok, I like all the songs, just in varying degrees.  ;)

I don't really like the album version and I don't like the Glasglow version(Because it seems like it is trying to imitate the album version). But I do LOVE the other live version from the concert for the people of Kampuchea.

My favorite version as well.

Fred Seaman (John's PA) said John heard it on the radio in a car & couldn't get it out of his head. He ordered Seaman to buy McCartney ll.

After listening to it he said it was much better than McCartney. That is not saying much as John said he thought McCartney was rubbish.
