I went to several antique stores with my mom yesterday, just looking at anything. I was hoping to find original Beatles stuff to buy, but no such luck. But for Christmas I did get the Please Please Me anniversary 2013 calendar, two Beatles ornaments, and the Paul "Live Kisses" DVD.  :)

That sounds great, Beatlemaniac64!

I love antique stores, rummage sales, etc. I always have the hope that I'll find some rare Beatles or ocean liner-related item. Hope springs eternal!

I got a couple of books. One john Lennon-The Illustrated biography and a lagazine book about them. Light reading and good pictures.

Me too Kathy and also auctions. I collect postcards from the late 1880's through the 1920's so if I ever get one with an ocean liner on it I'll let you know. I may even have one now; I'll look. I haven't seen a lot of Beatles stuff come up. There was a lot that included a nice Beatles magazine of some kind but I wasn't into collecting then so I didn't try too hard. I think I came home with a Beatles 45s case once in a lot but it was really beat up so I threw it out. I probably wouldn't do that now!

Sure, coming soon.
Here are two pictures from the book I got for Christmas. It claims to include 200 photo's from the Daily Mail. I've only seen a few so it's interesting. Includes some photo's from the obscure winter 67-68 time period I like.
The two pictures happen to be ones I referenced on the post about John's drug use. I thought these two photos show how he almost physically changed in the 66-7 period. 68-9 were dramatic too.
The cover photo shows John in the 66 Revolver period and he seems full faced and healthy. The 67 Sgt. pepper photo shows a weight loss and rather drawn appearence. Very different for one year.

The 66 oicture is the cover. The captions give a pretty good idea of the dates and events. It's a nice book with some insights into they're history. No text, just in depth captions.

^Cool  :)

I finally bought Beatles Scrabble today, lol. Been babbling about it for over a month and am looking forward to playing it.

I also took two of my Beatles posters to get them professionally and customed framed today. Finally! I've been wanting to do this for 5 years and at last have the money to do it. One of the posters is an original from the early '60s that needs to be preserved and displayed, the other is a print of them in front of the U.S flag (not a '60s original). I'll post pics when they're finished with the framing in 2 weeks and I can go pick them up. Can't wait to see what they'll look like framed! These will be some of the best purchases I've ever made and I will finally be able to enjoy these two posters. All these years I haven't been able to hang them up at all because they're the kind that would get ruined if I did without a frame, and also wouldn't look good without one. So I consider this to be my latest Beatles purchase.
