I watched this yesterday and it made me cry, my wife is in the UK at the moment and I miss her, its such a beautiful song, simple, direct and so true.

Although I have never been such a big fan of the song, I love it on "John Lennon/Plastic Ono Band". Surrounded by all those screamings it fits perfectly there, like a little sunshine in the middle of a rainy day.

Kevin, see how a song can take on special meaning at certain times?  Sounds like Mrs. Nimrod is truly someone special.

That's a nice song. I'm not as up on John's solo work as I should be so I never heard this before. I think John could really do heart-rending pretty well. When I first heard "Oh My Love" a little while back that really got to me!

yes its a quaint piano sound, it reminds me of the piano at school

I love the line "love is wanting to be loved"

It is a beautiful song.... quite funny to listen to it straight after, Instant Karma or Cold Turkey
