It seems that every store I've gone into lately has the Time magazine book with this on the cover:

It's so tempting to grab it and take Paul home with me but I think I probably have access to most of the pictures already. Anyway, there's always this: http://lightbox.time.com/2012/06/18/happy-birthday-paul-mccartney-70-iconic-images-for-70-years/#1 (http://lightbox.time.com/2012/06/18/happy-birthday-paul-mccartney-70-iconic-images-for-70-years/#1)

I run a music group for preschool kids and decided on the spur of the moment to do a tribute to Paulie's birthday, and played She Loves You for the kids to dance to, and dance they did! It went down so well that I used it all week not just on his actual birthday. I particularly loved seeing one grannie showing her 18 month old grandson how to do the twist! I wanted an upbeat song, and for some reason known only to my subconscious it HAD to be a Beatles song, not Wings or solo. What song would YOU have chosen (remember it's for PRESCHOOLERS so not Helter skelter etc!!) I thought about doing a contempletive song (I sometimes play quiet music with them all lying under starry material) which would have been Yesterday/Eleanor Rigby but my kids have always called those 2 the 'sad songs' so decided to make it an upbeat 'groover'.
