Hi!! ;)

Quote from: 1657
From the book 'The Fab Four Faq'

..."In late 1965 Paul purchased an Epiphone Casino...and both John, and George, impressed with the guitar's sound, bought one in early 1966...."

The pic looks to be around October[?] November[?] '65 to me. I could be wrong, and I probably am.  :P

Thanks for that!! ;)

Nevertheless it seems that that info is not correct as most Beatle scholars (=Everett, Babiuk, Lewisohn, etc.) place the purchasing date of Paul's Casin on Decemebr 1964. In fact, his Casino is heard at some Help numbers..., isn't it??

Quote from: 1687
...He mentions Yes It Is and also Anytime At All which I found interesting and sent him an email about where he found that info...

Did he answered you already?? I also would love to know where he took that info from...

BTW: I ahve been told from Ramirez shop in Madrid themselves that that guitar in John hands is NOT a Ramirez. Another myth which should be removed...

Quote from: 1687
...I have to admit , in the beginning I thought the whole nylon string pursuit was a little nutty but now Im totally engrossed in it!

Carry on!

Oh yes... Thank you!! ;)

Best!! ;)

Perfect Bobber!! ;) Wonderful pictures!!! ;)

These coloured pics demonstrate that John brought with him his guitar purchased in Madrid in 2 July 1965 to Almeria, which means that SFF was born on that guitar...

Mmmmmm.... Who travelled with John to Almeria??

BTW: I think that Ringo's pic is from 16-18 February 1965, i.e., 'I Need You' and/or YGTHYLA sessions...

I know that Ringo went to visit John, but it doesn't look like Ringo. More like Neil Aspinall.

Here http://www.upv.es/~ecabrera/letme/calmeria.html is said that the b/w photo of John playing the guitar was taken by a certain Douglas Kirkland...

I was wrong. The guitar Paul is playing here is NOT the same John purchased in Madrid on 2 July 1965. The former one has a round label, while John's one has a rectangular one. The former has a different ornament around soundhole and also fingerboard is not made out of the same kind of timber as John's one...

Best!! ;)

Astrid just says 'Spring 1964' in her book.
