This makes me want to head across the border to Niagara Falls. It could be a lonely trip through because I'm not sure who else in the family has their enhanced driver's license! I do love to go there though. I think the rushing water does something to the air and I always feel really good when I'm there.

Can you get an enhanced drivers license to go across the border?

Yes. I think we used to just bring our birth certificates when crossing but we were never asked to show them.

I thought passports are required now.  Correct me if I'm mistaken.

They are for people living in the states without the enhanced licenses but for those of us in New York state and a few others they are accepted for land and sea travel into Canada and Mexico. They have a radio frequency chip that allows the border officer to get the person's proof of citizenship. They're $30.00 more than a regular license but that's still a lot cheaper than a passport.

I remember seeing Lucy do this:

And just now I discovered that those guys we were talking about a while ago did it too, with an extra twist. I think theirs was the funniest.

Now I'll think of these every time I go there!

And you can think of this the next time you're on Bagel Street in downtown Wormleysburg, Pennsylvania...

Hilarious stuff there! I don't know if I'll ever make it to Bagel Street in downtown Wormleysburg, Pennsylvania but I'm pretty likely to cross this bridge over the Susquehana River into downtown South Williamsport, Pennsylvania. Does that count?
