-
I also voted for John.
-
I don't really have a favorite. I go through different phases where G will by my fave for a couple weeks, then I'll be in a Paul mood, etc....
-
I had to vote for Paul since Stu wasnt included.
;D Joking!
-

I did. 8) He's just the beter singer and I love all his songs. But I still love them all. Because if there was none of them there would be no BEATLES! 8)
(drummer)
P.S. george is my second favorite. What a man. ;D
-

HES the better singer :P

Compared to Ringo, Yeah he's better. :P
-
I voted for John. When I make a mental list of my favorite Beates songs, probably the first 5 or 6 I name are John songs.
Really, I love them all, though.
-
i made my vote considering their personality
-
The 1966-70 output relied almost entirely on Paul's dedication to keeping the Beatles going. Should be deified.
-
Aah I'm such an idiot.(dunce) I miss read what I quoted I meant Paul because he is a beter singer even though john song some of my favorite songs
-
Just love them all.
-
George :)
-
i voted for john cause hes the one who started the beatles
-
i voted ringo
-
I"m chaning my vote to George.
-
paul is better
HES the better singer
-
No George was. He had a more mellow voice. He could sing higher and he was just better. Plus he wrote getter songs. Here is my list on how good they are
1.George
2.Paul
3.John
4.Ringo
5.Pete
6.Stue

Don't know where you get that opinion from, but it certainly does not match reality.
Paul had the most fluid voice of the bunch. John had a perfect 'rock' voice. Some of his singing (as in Day In The Life) can give you chills every time you hear it.
George was capable. Listen to some of his outtakes, like Don't Bother me's single (not doubled) vocal. Whew!
And Ringo, well....he had all the personality. :)
-
I love George's vocal on Glad All Over - he certainly had some grit to his voice, he didn't use it that much though. I can't think of another time he sang in this way: listen to how he sings "It don't take much luck to see what I've got. But it shows, yeah it shows." Brilliant!
-
Yeah, oddly enough his pre-fame live stuff was much better than the post fame period in many ways.
Possibly because he was singing a lot more, and louder (due to club noise)?
-
don't bother me is a fanfreakingtastic song.......
-
I picked Ringo just cause Ringo is by far my favorite Beatles (george is close second tho)
-

Exhange Ringo for John, and that's exactly what I would have said.
-
lol Ditto
-
its paul
-
I voted for John.

It's just that some Beatles are more equal than others. ;)
-
Paul will always be my favorite. :)
-
Lennon/McCartney. Its a duo, too hard to pick a favorite.
-
I voted for george! but I love all four!
-
keep the George votes coming! Watch out Macca ;D
-
LENNON FOREVER.
-
i picked john because he is original and doesn't give a hoot of what people thinks of him
-
george, because of the serious look when they played, then the teeth flash, he just looked so cool....musically....they are beatles, all of their music is good
-
my fav, hmmm.....
George, as he was the best musician of the bunch of them....
Herb
-
George again
-

Herb[/quote]
I thought Paul was the best musician of them. Am I wrong? Just based on how many instruments he could play and all.
-
i've often heard that george was easily the best musician, i think playing lead, you have to be good....his guitar work was way ahead of his time....volume pedals, wah wah's, slide, he pushed a lot of those sounds to the forefront...not to mention sitar...his backing vocals are unsurpassed on their albums too....he was the best harmonizer of them. they were all good together...if you've ever played in a band, it's second nature to know exactly where everyone's going, and i imagine after playing 8 to 12 hr sets in hamburg, etc. i think it's safe to say, they knew when each other blinked. many other better musicians than the beatles....no better band.
-
George played 26 instruments: guitar, sitar, 4-string guitar, bass guitar, arp bass, violin, tamboura, dobro, swordmandel, tabla, organ, piano, moog synthesizer, harmonica, autoharp, glockenspiel, vibraphone, xylophone, claves, African drum, conga drum, tympani, ukulele, mandolin, marimba, and Jal-Tarang.
-
I really wasn't questioning George's musical ability! I honestly have no idea about these things. I've just always heard about Paul and his playing so many instruments. Obviously they were ALL incredibly talented!! It certainly wasn't my intention to offend anybody. Really.
Could someone list the instruments Paul played? Just curious. I can't find that info anywhere. :D
-
John wrote better songs
-
I thought i posted in this already.. hmmm... anyways, my favorite is Paul because I like his music. Although I must admit at first he was only my favorite because he was so cute. Tsk tsk tsk, how shallow of me, I sound just like a teenybopper. :P
John is a close second though! Then George, then Ringo.
-

Heh heh! He's been my favorite since I was like 6 much for the same reason. I guess I'm still shallow!

Then we can be shallow together. :)
Although I never understood people who could develop a crush so young. Up until I was like 12 I thought boys were yucky.
-
Heh! Yes, regular boys were yucky! Paul's not a regular boy though! That face just got me. By 12 I was into Jim Morrison. My brothers favorite line was: How could you like a dead guy?
-
and now we ain't yucky???????
-

Only AFTERwards.
;-D
-
Paul used to be my favorite, but now George is. So my vote goes to him. :)

-
no not all.i like pigtails.

Same as me ;)...Beatles-fans are weird(think)
-
Isn't having Pete Best in there the same as having Ralph Nader on the ballot? Can't win, and only serves to take votes away from others?
:-)
-
Rick reserves his right to run.
-
larry you are biting the hand the feeds you so to speak are you not?
-
pete has 4 votes real or imagined they are there......
-
I'm a Pete Best fan -- if only because of the interesting irony that his fame grew in the fact that he never had the career he could have had.....I've always wondered how Ed Sullivan would have sounded if he said, "Ladies and Gentlemen, please welcome John, Paul, George and Pete -- the Beatles!"
-
What's important is that JOHN is winning!!!
-
John Lennon was my favorite Beatle.
The style, the wit, the humor, the uniqueness, the talent, the peace supporter, the attitude... All that and more made him one of the greatest genies in History. :)
-
For those interested, I found this pretty good Pete Best interview on CNN's web site:
http://www.cnn.com/2003/SHOWBIZ/Music/07/07/best.beatles/
-
I'm voting for Paul because I think he sometimes gets a bad rap. I consider John and Paul equals as musical geniuses. I do not consider George and Ringo as being in the same ballpark. If Paul had died instead of John or George I suspect he would be given more credit on this and other forum's that I have looked at.
My two cents...
Dan
-
What about Stu? If Pete's there why not Stu?
-
BEcause he's not.
-
And you felt the need to post this because...?
-
all of them. ;)
-
John Lennon

-
Ringo!
-
I love them all, but JOHN... then George, then Ringo, then Paul.
I love how John and George turned out once they went solo, especially George.
