No. It's just the usual people looking for someone to gang up on. They don't realize that if you post something on a public forum, you must expect to get called on it if others think it wrong/misguided/etc.
This forum is treated as a pseudo-chat-site by many members. That creates quite a deal of tension, I think. Several people treat DMs as a place where they can feel a sense of belonging or community. I get the feeling that for some it is their ONLY source of friendship. So when someone treats it as a forum, a source of debate, things get off key.
Notice how little REAL discussion of Beatles actually happens here. Sure, there are those "games", but that's not really discussion. The level of knowledge about the Beatles is very poor among most folk.
Lastly (this is developing into a nice rave!) -- Several folk here don't understand the concept of "argument". They assert an idea or a prejudice, and expect to be left alone. If there is subsequent argument or discussion, they descend to personal abuse, and bad language very quickly.
