I'm sure I was home and heard it on the news. The only good thing about hearing of it was that his illness was already known by most Beatles fans, so it wasn't like the shock of hearing about John's death. The bad part for me is that he died on my birthday. However, I learned to deal with it:

Ohh, when I was there? Did I understand you correctly? Well, the Beatles, I got 12 days before my 17th Birthday by the movie * Help! - Hi-Hi-Help *. Has admittedly always a fan of other groups or stars, but the Beatles, I never leave ;) .
