John Lennon and Beatles fans of all ages will gather at a free-to-the-public John Lennon Birthday Celebration taking place at John Lennon's Hollywood Walk of Fame Star at 6:00 PM on Wednesday, October 9 to celebrate the life and music of the late legendary singer, songwriter and Beatles member on what would have been his 73rd birthday.The cake cutting ceremony will be led by Chris Carter, KLOS FM radio host of Breakfast With the Beatles. Fans are invited to bring candles and flowers to place around John's star. Fans are also invited to perform music and poetry at the public celebration.

The event will begin with the popular Beatles song Birthday, which will be dedicated to both John and Sean Lennon, the son of John and Yoko Ono, who was born the same date as his dad and will be celebrating his 38th birthday.The event will conclude with Imagine and Give Peace a Chance as fans join hands in a Circle of Peace around John's star.
