All This and World War Two
« on: March 02, 2005, 11:13:52 AM »

I think that's its title. I saw it on release.
Anyone else seen it?
is it considered a Beatle thing?
Can't remember if I enjoyed it, but it certainly didn't inspire me to buy the dodgy soundtrack.
Cool idea though-they must have thought they were on to something (which they weren't)

I have heard about this movie ever since I finally knew the Beatles history when I was about 11-12 years old way back in 75/76 but I have never seen it.

they thought lots of people were sitting at home, getting stoned, putting the tele on and turning down the sound, putting on some tunes and waiting for something bizarre to happen (no MTV remember). so hey, lets make a movie of world war two archive clips set to Beatles music.

So you were treated to the luftwaffe bombing the crap out of London while Leo ayer sang "I am the Walrus" with an orchestral backing.
Hats off to them, but I don't remember being impressed. And there were only about 3 other people in the cinema.
