I think he may be more well known in th UK. I'm not sure about anywhere else, but I don't think a lot of Americans even know who he is. But I could be wrong! Anyway, I do think it's cute that he stole Syd's look.

Yup, that's the one everyone knows! They used to play it on MTV if you can believe it. I hate it. Jeepster and Children of the Revolution are the only other songs I can think of from T-Rex at the moment. The last one being a very awesome song. Even Bono's version.

so use that sas your name then.
t rex mainly consisted of marc bolan and mickey finn.the others musicians were friends and hirees.marc indeed was the start of "GLAM ROCK".his glitzy style and hard guitar licks were very innovative for the time.and were probally mimiced by many.
ringo starr portrayed marc in a movie called born to boogie.marc produced it,this is where the song children of the revolution comes from.featuring ringo on drums and elton john played piano on that and bang a gong.plus on many other songs by marc.
marc was a partier.he liked to have a great time not just a good time.he lived hard and died fast.
you owe it to yerself to check his music out.you will dig it.
