INTERVIEW: Roberta Flack says the Beatles' music is full of universal love

Roberta Flack's new album, "Let It Be Roberta" on 429 Records, her first in eight years, transforms the Beatles music. She takes the songs, all Beatles tunes except for one solo tune by George Harrison, and adds her very distinctive style. It's the same type of feeling she gave to "The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face" when she had a hit with it in 1972. In a phone interview, Flack said she decided to do the Beatles album after getting involved in another project.
