All You Need Is Love Chords
« on: January 05, 2006, 06:55:00 AM »

http://www.ultimate-guitar.com/tabs/b/beatles/all_you_need_is_love_crd.htm

I've seen that version posted everywhere but it doesn't sound right to me. Is it totally wrong or am I deaf? If it's the former then would someone post the correct version?

Thanks.

Well, I had a little strum with those chords and you could get by with them fine, although they are not ALL the chords. Try a few A11's and Em7's for good measure...(Trust your ears!) ;)

No it still sounds funny to me. Would you mind posting the correct chords listed in that book you have? I would really appreciate it.

OK...the other thing that might sound odd is the one bar of 3/4. (Just in case you didn't know.)
Anyway, now I have time, heres the chords....

Intro:
G, D, Em Em7 (3/4bar), G,D,Em Em7 (3/4), D7,G,D7.

Verses: Same chords as intro.

Chorus:
G, A11, D x 2 G, B7, Em, E7, C, D11.

You'd have to tap those chord names into something like chordfinder (Just tap chordfinder into a google search.) if your not sure how they go. To be honest, without diagrams I would have to rely on some guesswork. I'll have a root for a decent chordfinder aswell.

You'll love the difference when you play it. Trust me. ;)

........Ok then, found this to be the most user friendly and accessable, free, online chordfinder. I researched a bit and noticed they note an A11 as a A7sus4. They are both drawn the same in diagrams.

You should be able to master it with these tools. All the best, spread the love! ;)

Thnx Raxo. :)

Thank you very much.

A11 and D11 are listed as follows on http://www.chordbook.com/guitarchords.php:
A11 = x00020 (EADGBe)
D11 = xx0012 (EADGBe)

There are a few versions found here but not the ones I listed above: http://www.jmdl.com/howard/guitarchords/index.html
A11: http://www.jmdl.com/howard/guitarchords/dictionary/A11.txt
D11: http://www.jmdl.com/howard/guitarchords/dictionary/D11.txt

Could you please clarify?

You should have enough to be going on with. I already told you that A11 is also A7sus4. You just scroll down and click on it and it will show you the shape in diagram form. I'm sure D11 therefore, will also be shown as D7sus4.

I looked at your links but without a guitar to hand theres no way I could look at all those shapes. That's your job man. It would take quite a while and I've already done almost all of it for you.

Those links you posted seem to complicate matters. It's your shout but all you need is the first link I posted.

Good luck
