Converting MPG to MPEG

i have some videos that i want to burn to a dvd but i dont know how to convert them from mpg to mpeg, because appearently thats the only way they will burn to it is in mpeg format not mpg.

any help from you guys would be helpful.

nero can do it i think....i used real one player and just recorded what i had onto a disc as a media file and played it on my dvd player and they played...all but the wav files...

Really late reply, but isn't MPG the same thing as MPEG? I think you can easily solve the problem by just changing the name of the file from .mpg to .mpeg, but I could be wrong...
