Valley of the Dolls... extremely campy and likely a new source of monologues for me

Neely O'Hara: [catching her husband in the pool with a girl] Having fun, kiddies? Don't mind me. Go right ahead! I'll watch.

You'd better run, you little tramp. How dare you contaminate my pool! Here. [empties a bottle of alcohol into the pool]

                    Maybe this will disinfect it.

Yeah, Patty Duke really acted well in that movie.  A big change from her role as Patty (and Cathy) Lane just a year before...

Patty Duke...a very fine actress and an Academy Award winner for her role as Helen Keller in The Miracle Worker (1962)

Anne Bancroft won an Academy Award too for her role as Annie Sullivan, Helen Keller's teacher.  They both starred in the Broadway play prior to making this powerful movie.

Patty Duke...age 12 on the Broadway stage

In those days, Mairi, I couldn't decide who I loved more; Patty Duke as Patty Lane...

 or Sally Field as Gidget...

MOON

I thought it sucked. Boring and predictable for me. I was waiting for the left hook, but it never came.
