I've heard good things about Tug of War.  I think "Ebony and Ivory" is easy to make fun of--espcially after Joe Piscopo and Eddie Murphy did their thing.  But the song itself never bothered me.

I really like Mull of Kintyre--I think that's an incredible song.  I don't know what album it's on.

BTTE could have been a better rock album by Paul & Wings if he could have done more with the concept of the song Rockestra with other rock legends as in Pete Townsend & John Bonham since it only has a few great tracks like Spin It On.

I have no idea what this means.

Your insane! Listen to McCartney 2 and then reflect back on your comment.

Back To The Egg could have been much better as a classic rock album during his Wings days if Paul would have been more ballsy as an artist.  There are some good tracks on it like Spin It On, Arrow Through Me & Rockestra but he's trying too hard to be current at the time being a former Beatle.

Personaly, I think 'Spin It On' is one of the worst songs on the album.

Gotta agree again T. I could probably do without 'Daytime Nightime Suffering', but its not horrible. There's alot of great stuff on this album. I love 'The Broadcast' and its not really even a song. Some people that reviewed this album said there is no congruity to it and its too adventurous, whatever the hell that means. Its a great album, and judging by the photos, it was done completely baked--isn't Steve Holly holding a big doob?

I actually like 'DNS' a good bit, but 'Old Siam,Sir' is probably my favorite tune off the whole album (well, Getting Closer is fun to drum to) due to my childhood memories of listening to it with my cousin as he had the 'Arrow Through Me/Old Siam,Sir' 45. All in all its a great record.

I thought Steve was holding a cig, but now i'll have to double check.

'Old Siam, Sir' kicks. I saw Laurence Juber at a 'Fest in the early 80's saying how he came up with that (simple, yet) kick ass little riff. 'Getting Closer' was another favorite. Brings back good memories.

You give Mac 2 way to much credit. 'Waterfalls' is the only song I can take off of the whole album. Even the studio version of 'Coming Up' is horrible. Over all terrible.

You always forgets "On The Way", "Nobody Knows" and "One Of These Days" ...

There are worse albumS than McCartney II

Wildlife for me ...

I know we always argue about this album and we both have different tastes, but I just cant deal with it. If (and thats a big if) I had to take two songs off of the album that were good, they would be 'Waterfalls' and 'One Of These Days'. I find 'On The Way' and 'Nobody Knows' as unlistenable. I also like Wild Life so we definately are at different ends of the spectrum on these two albums.

I see 'Press To Play' gets slammed all the time when in fact 'Pipes Of Peace' is way worse. Easily Pauls second worst album.

I know, I know ...  ;D

BTW, I think Pipes Of Peace is better than London Town or Venus And Mars, naming just two. Even Press To Play is more complete (melodic and lyrically) than Wild Life, for example.

P.S. I like Wild Life too, but I think is his worst work (tho some -few- good moments, in that one).

I don't suppose the "Liverpool Sound Collage" can be considered an album, but it ain't good, even in avant garde kind of way.

From those I have, it would be Pipes Of Peace, specially because it was a weak sucessor for Tug Of War, which is probably his best album. So the best album and the worst one, to me, are these consecutive releases.

McCartney II is a great album!!  :P I love it.

I agree that his worst album could be Pipes of Peace even though it was
great song. Through our love & Average Person are pretty good ones but the rest
i find not that great.
Give My Regards to Broad Street soundtrack was pretty poor i thought as he was
re-doing his old songs but i thought Not Such A Bad Boy & No Values were brilliant songs! :)
No Values would have sounded better if he left the solo on at the end before he stoped the band.  :-/
