Three Paulie Questions

Last night I was lying in bed and some questions popped into my head:

1. Does Paul play the guitar solo in Taxman? Because some people say he does - yet it shows George playing the solo on Beatles Rockband. I wouldn't be urprised if that was wrong though ... (hey, does any body else have that game? It's really good fun!)

Um ... damn, I forgot the other ones! If I remember, I'll post them.

To answer your first question, according to Geoff Emerick, Paul did play the solo on "Taxman." Geoff stated that George struggled with the solo, so George Martin had Paul do the part instead. (The source, if anyone cares: Here, There, and Everywhere, pg. 126.)

BTW, great screen name. ;) I wonder if we have a Mrs McCartney anywhere here.  :D

And about Rock Band, other than the solo in "Good Morning Good Morning" and all of the solos in "The End", they always show George on guitar/sitar/singing, John on guitar/piano/singing, Paul on bass/piano/singing, and Ringo drums/singing regardless of who actually played what on the record.

yeah is there? I know that there is a Mrs. Starkey now. (but we all know who the real Mrs. Starkey is  ;) ha2ha) But not sure about McCartney.

What's your favourite instrument to play? (or sing!)

Guitar/bass definitely. I can play most songs on expert on those and do pretty well. I almost always play bass though, I like feeling 'connected' to Paul haha (though I also like to play guitar on songs I know he played guitar on  ;D)

^I_Will I get what you mean about playing you're favorite Beatles' instrument. I play just the drums all the time, I think I've played Guitar and Bass like once.  ha2ha So I get where you're coming from!  ;)

Same here, I love playing bass :)
I'm not very good at expert, I mostly go on hard. We also have another guitar but it's not a Beatles one, just a 'Rockband' guitar. It's pretty bad quality :( But it looks a bit like John's guitar so I just pretend it's his, LOL! I want the George guitar!

The Hofner for the game is hard to find! I was searching everywhere for it! No luck.  :'(
I bought George's for $99 which isn't too bad. It's really nice, but I play lefty, and the buttons are made for a righty, which sucks for me, but I still use it. haha.

Been there... my user name used to be 'Miss Lennon' until I decided it didn't make much sense, then one of our wonderful mods was kind enough to change it for me. I'm not implying that you should go around asking for a name change, though.

I was just thinking about how awesome the last name McCartney is ;)

OMG! I just remembered that this year in school this new girl is coming, and her last name is McCartney. So if I say that I'm Mrs McCartney then ... *sigh*
That won't turn out well.

Ahhhh, I am sooo jealous of her! I can't believe it!

And Mrs Lennon: Yep, I can't really be bothered to change my name, I'm so lazy :) Lol. Let's just make sure everybody knows that PAUL IS MINE, all right?

Yeah, McCartney IS an awesome last name (oh God, I almost typed in: "McCartney IS an awesome last night"...Freudian slip, anyone?)...until you remember Jesse McCartney has the same last name. Oh. *shudders*

I'll start planning my own funeral too...LOL...I'm not so young anymore at the ripe old age of 26. You frisky young 'uns will probably kill me before I get the first swing. ha2ha
