It's so cool that he's still out there, doing his thing after all these years. Thanks for sharing that Barry.

Yeah. He did a little Rubber Soul that night too...

Yeah. He did a little Rubber Soul that night too...
I would be thrilled beyond belief to see him do this. I don't care if he doesn't look or even sound just like he did when Rubber Soul came out..it's still Paul! :-*
-
I think he sounds just fine.
-
He did sound good. I might have to apologize to Maccfan. ha2ha
I dont have the best speakers, but did anybody else feel they screwed up 'The Word' at the 2:11 mark? The keyboards came in during the break and Paul went with another verse. Probably just me. Very cool regardless.

The keyboardist came in one verse too early. Paul sang the correct lyrics to the next verse...
Now that I know what I feel must be right
I'm here to show everybody the light

That performance was indeed cool!

Yes he did. But play those two videos with a good set of speakers, Todd. The audience in Bologna sure was lucky!

I agree. Now stuff like this could cause me to go see him again. If he pulled out another 10 or so rare gems, i'd be there.

Todd, here is the setlist for that concert: http://www.setlist.fm/setlist/paul-mccartney/2011/unipol-arena-bologna-italy-6bd1ce4a.html (http://www.setlist.fm/setlist/paul-mccartney/2011/unipol-arena-bologna-italy-6bd1ce4a.html)
Some of the YouTube links are for other concert performances.

Its good to hear Paul doing these gems
Im not surprised though that the vast majority of his live shows are Beatle songs, I cant believe how someone who wrote so many fabulous songs has written so many average ones on his endless solo albums
maybe John brought out his huge talent in those days
oops sorry Sir Paul

I noticed a little something but I was too busy wishing I was in the audience to register what it might be!

I think they went out of rhythm/afterbeat.

That is so cool, that he does 'Come and Get It'... Easily one of my favorite non-Beatles McCartney compositions.

at the time he wrote that Paul was absolutely on fire, I cant imagine any other band not bothering to record it, staggering really..

Kev, I vivdly remember hearing Come And Get It for the first time. It was January 1970 and I was sitting in my MGB (very appropriately British Racing Green) and my girlfiend Nancy (sometimes I'd call her Magill and sometimes I called her Lil ;) ) was sitting next to me and we were listening to the radio. We were both very excited to hear what we thought was a new Beatles record.
Paul insisted that Badfinger use the same arrangement and Tom Evans sounded a lot like Paul on that one...

Paul performed Come And Get It again four days later in Paris...

I wish I did, Kev! I dream about it often. I think we all dream of our first car.

I had mine when I lived in LA, it was the perfect car for California (until it got really hot in summer that is)
before that in the UK I had a Triumph Spitfire and a Triumph Trophy motorbike, both were great 8)
-
Mine was a 1969. It had a wooden steering wheel and shifter knob, Lucas driving lights and an AM/FM radio. I loved that car!
Anything Triumph was cool. I liked the Spitfire and the GT6.

And he performed it again in Liverpool a month ago...

Paul did "My Valentine" for the first time live (aside from the Grammies) in Rotterdam a few days ago. Sounds pretty good, suits his current voice.
