I voted no because I thought it was people. Julius Caesar, George Washington, Mohammed Ali, Ghandi. There are tons of more famous people, but the Beatles are definitely the most famous band, and probably the only musicians to even contend for most famous people ever.

I don't know how famous all of those people are in various countries. I feel like the Beatles are known even in the remotest of places because music us universal. But Ghandi's a pretty famous dude I'm sure!

I said yes because I figure they are the most famous band ever, no question. I mean we've never seen anything like Beatlemania since.

I always think it'd be kind of embarrasing to be a male fan during Beatlemania. Now lots of guys (including me) love the Beatles but itd be weird to be the only guy in a see of screaming girls. Wait a tic, thatd be awesome. hmm...

Heh, I know what it's like....I post on a U2 forum and it's like 80% girls at least....probably 90% of the posts are by females.....It doesn't really bother me too much, because if you like the band for their music, then you wouldn't be worried about being in a minority of their fans and all...
But yeah, I have nothing to say in all of the "Bono is hot" threads.

I guess that worldwide, the most famous person ever would have to be Jesus Christ. Elvis on second probably.

The most famous person is Buddha, because China is the most populated country on earth, and they all worship buddha, and most of america know who buddha is, and other counties as well, and japan and all that, so Buddha is more popular than jesus

I said yes, everyone knows the Beatles when it comes to music, (except some girl in one of my classes who was like "who are the Beatles? Yellow Submarine? What are you talking about?") but I talk to a lot of people who don't know John Lennon.

I think anyone who says they don't know who the Beatles are are lying. Sorta like Yoko and Heather!! Anyway, I asked a young girl if she knew about the Beatles and she said: "Of couse! There would have to be something wrong with me if I didn't know who the Beatles were!" So maybe there's some mental deficiancy in anyone who claims they have no idea who they are. That would explain it. Oh, and even my first grade six year olds knew who they were before I introduced their music to them. They may not know their names but they sure have some heavy infromation. Like two are dead and one got shot. How they know that at 6 is beyond me.

That is so true. How can you not know about the Beatles anyways? They are so much a part of our culture. Not just music, but in general. You hear Beatles references every time you turn on the Simpsons, and bands are always being described as "Beatlesque". There was a girl in my class who said she had never heard of the Beatles until I started talking about them. Either she is lying (why would you lie about that?) or she has been lving in a hole her entire life.

The Beatles cant be the most famous people on earth...they are VERY famous and thier the most famous Musicians of all time, but their has to be somebody more famous than the beatles,Every american knows who jesus is dont they?? like 99% of america has even heard of him, or mebbe 100%, but i dont want to cause a arguement, but i know alot of people who have never even heard of The beatles...plus, many children dont know who The beatles are, but have heard of jesus...anyways, The Beatles are very famous
