Aerosmith
« on: October 26, 2011, 01:44:18 PM »

Since there is no topic for Aerosmith I decided to make one. I am aware of the fact that there are not really liked around, since they kind of fall into the "commercial" kind of group, especially with their 90's songs, however, I can't help but love their first 6 albums. They mean a lot to me, since they were the band that introduced me to rock music. So if there are any other fans around, feel free to comment. Anything is appreciated.

Aerosmith - Train Kept a Rollin'

That's a great song, BeatlesForever, thanks for sharing. I love the section from "Get Your Wings" where "Train Kept A Rollin' " ends with the crowd applauding, and then their next song, "Seasons of Wither" starts the same. It's truly one of my favourite Aerosmith moments. And "Seasons Of Wither" is probably the greatest ballad Steven has ever written. I'm reading his autobiography right now and he says the song is about a landscape from New-Hampshire, that he was seing every night while he had to walk alone from Trow-Rico to his home. Here's "Seasons of Wither", from their 1990 unplugged concert.

Hi BeatlesForever, I'm fine, and you?

No, I'm not going, I'm not a fan at all of them. My brother isn't a big fan either, but he's going to see them. Sadly all the bands I like no longer exist. The Who was going to come here a couple of year ago, but it was cancelled. I would have gone to see them.

By the way, it seems that Steven Tyler had an accident recently in Paraguay, this is how he looked before surgery:

But fans didn't have to worry since the band will still do their shows.

Hi Hombre_de_ningun_lugar! Are you sure that Steven Tyler didn't get into a fight with his bandmate Joe Perry prior to the show?

AEROSMITH is a pretty good show to see just as long as Tyler and Perry are getting along. I LOVE THE WHO! In my opinion, THE WHO are not THE WHO without the late great John Entwistle and the late great Keith Moon. What do you think Hombre_de_ningun_lugar? Take care my friend.

I don't think they ever will. Even Steven Tyler said a few time ago that they still argue all the time. However, as long as they can do music together, that's fine by me.

I just hope that Tyler doesn't get kicked out of the band anytime soon. Tyler and Perry's fights are legendary just like Lennon/McCartney, Jagger/Richards, Waters/Gilmour, The Davies Brothers, The Everly Brothers and the Robinson Brothers.

However, his broken teeth and his damaged eye are from the fact that he fell in the bathroom in Paraguay. He was not drunk or high, he just got dizy and fainted. He said he blames the accident on food poisoning. I feel sorry about him, he went through a lot of accidents in the last 13 years or so.

Steven Tyler has not been having very good luck lately, I hope that it changes soon.

I don't know too much about it, but the official story is that he had an accident as The 5th Beatle said. But you know, anything is possible.
