I don't think it's too shocking that the legendary punk rock club CBGB's is closing because live music is becoming a thing of the past with artists of today.

i think it's funny that a club originally for country, bluegrass, and blues performers became the mecca of live punk rock.

as for the club, i agree with wayne, i don't think there's much reason for it now, even if the frikkin ramones palyed there.

It should be designated as an "Historical-site" which would qualify it for State funds! Barring that just ask a few "NEW-YORKERS" in the music bui to put up the 300K!
