My concert event T-shirt.

The backside.

I hope Glasgow's gig has a tshirt like that it's nice, I think whoever is going to see Paul should post pics & videos and merchandise of their stuff.

The concert's next Monday I'm so excited!!!   I'm planning to get to the coliseum about an hour before the show starts to see if I'm able to buy one of those cool shirts.  There's also a tribute band that will be playing outside the coliseum; from what I've heard they are pretty good.

I don't know if I will be able to get some nice pics from my seats, but if I do I'll post some of them here! :)

Sondra, Paul's version of Something is always magnificent. Definitely one of my faves from his live shows too.

Euan, I think they'll have the same type of shirt for the entirety of Paul's tour, or at least I hope so. They also had a keychain and a poster with the same design. Plus, they were selling baseball caps, tote bags, 8x10" pics of Paulie, other shirts, a jacket, programs, etc. I was considering getting the jacket but they didn't have any in my size, not to mention it was very pricey.

I have no idea if I'll wear my Paul concert shirt cuz I want it to last forever. Maybe I'll only reserve it for special Beatles-related events. ;)

FutureStar, let us know how your concert went!!

There's rumours about a concert coming up in Mexico.

This was mysteriously mentioned in the concert program I got from the HB. Its tour schedule simply listed Mexico in May without a specific date or venue. Glad it got confirmed, finally.

^ What! McCartney/Beatle fest. No Lennon!!! Those Scots are gonna feel cheated when after downing what I'm sure will be a responsible amount of "selected drinks" they won't be dancing on the tables to the likes of Woman is The black person Of The World.

Macca struggles to sell Hampden concert tickets

    * 9160276

    * Tickets went on sale 10 weeks ago for Sir Paul McCartney’s city gig

The long-awaited Sir Paul McCartney gig at Hampden Park in June is still not a sell-out – 10 weeks after it was first announced.

McCartney’s concert will mark the former Beatle’s first Scots gig in nearly 20 years and tickets, priced between £55 and £85, are understood to have sold steadily, with front row briefs still selling on eBay for £110 a pair.

His sales compare with that of boy band Take That, who put on a third show at the national stadium after their original two dates sold out quickly last year.

Dozens of fans also camped out overnight in order to obtain tickets for Bruce Springsteen’s first gig in Glasgow for 13 years in July 2009, which went on to be a sell-out, as did U2’s concert at the same venue last year.

Ken McNab, a Glasgow-based expert and author of The Beatles in Scotland, said: “I think the fact that the Hampden show is not sold out yet is simply down to the state of the economy.

“People are having to be very careful with their money, and the tickets are quite expensive.

“I bought four tickets at £80 each. I have seen him several times before, but I did hesitate on the grounds of cost and also McCartney’s age – he is now 67.”

The Hampden Park setlist is expected to include a number of Fab Four songs that the Beatles never performed live.

McCartney said: “It’s always good to get back to Scotland because I’ve got a special affection for the wee place. I’ve never done Hampden before and it’s legendary.

“The country is a very special part of the isles we live in. It’s had a kind of romantic thing for me since I first went there with the Beatles.”

McCartney added that “the crowds are always great”.

His last gig in Glasgow was on June 23, 1990, when he played the SECC as part of Glasgow’s European City of Culture celebrations.

This guy's reasoning is hilarious!!!  Does he think Macca will cark it onstage thus depriving him of his money's worth??   LOL!!!!!

While we're on the subject, does anyone out there know if Macca is touring Australia?

I guess I need to start paying attention to this tour. My buddy just called and convinced me to go if he's in Pittsburgh. It'll be the last hurrah he said. We'll spare no expense. He's talking front row to front 5.
