I think horror films are bad for the mind.

No they're not. They're fun.

Well, at least the subtile, creepy ones. Movies with ghosts appearing in mirrors or where people see the reflection of a face in the water and then turn around and see there's nobody there. Stuff like that. I can't get enough of those movies.

I really don't like those slasher, chainsaw massacre, Freddy Krueger type of movies though. I hate those.

I agree with you absolutely. That's what I meant.

I like the old black and white ones too.

It's already been and gone here. Just watched 'Halloween H20'. Mercifully short, though not actually too bad.

I'm such a Scrooge this year. I'm hiding upstairs with all the downstairs lights out, so I can write. Normally I read a book and answer the door with treats and toys. I save up all the little gizmos people mail to me over the year, and little gifts, and give it away at Halloween. I think it makes a nice change from candy (I let the kids pick what they want). But this year I felt antisocial. Tea and quiet, that's what I want.

We had only 4 kids coming round. It was really quite in the neighbourhood too... the wind must have blown them all away  :-/

I took a girl I babysit out trick-or-treating. It was fun, but the last thing I need is a big bag of candy.

I beat my own record for costumes this year, with a total of four.
-Princess Jasmine for a fund-raiser my school held
-"Snakes on a Stewardess" for my school dance
-A pirate to school on Wednesday
-Cleopatra for trick-or-treating.

Of course, October is the "Witching Month" of Halloween.  We celebrate big-time down here.  It's probably one of our favorite holidays to have parties and hayrides.
So..............everyone.............contribute your Halloween pictures and party details........whatever.
Here's me two years ago at a Halloween party.............

I'll have pictures this year of me as the Fire Witch from the party we're going to next Saturday.

^^^^^Don't mind the date on the camera.  It was taken with my "cheap" first digi camera that I could never set the date right on it.............

^^^^^^Awwwww.............wish you lived closer and we'd take you to the party we're going to.  Lot's of fun, food, and even a camping trailer that's used as the "baby-sitting" station for the young-uns.........
