Just read about a new Beatles book Looking Through You which looks interesting.

Has over 300 images from the precious Beatles Book photo archive, many unpublished or unseen.

I had that pre-ordered from Amazon but got an email from them saying that it was no longer available. I was not pleased! I'll have to take a look at the Facebook page and try to figure out what's up. I feel like this could be the jewel in my Beatles photo books collection, if I could only get it!

Some good background here on this new Beatles book by Chris Charlesworth who edited and worked on the book.

The book has a selection of over 300 images from the precious Beatles Book photo archive.

Its out this week I've been told.

My very reliable source tells me it was taken in Bournemouth in August 1963. The book says this was taken in Margate during their week-long engagement at the Winter Gardens, July 8-13, 1963. I'm sure the record player is in the bathroom because of the good acoustics. LOL

I was pleased to see what arrived in the mail today, all the way from England and ahead of schedule. I didn't know it would be a numbered edition and that the calendar was also included. It's even better than I thought it would be. Mark Lewisohn gave "general input" and access to unpublished interviews with Beatles Book editor Johnny Dean (Sean O'Mahony) and photographer Leslie Bryce.  I wish I could share the pictures with you all! They really do live up to the "unseen" hype. (Pardon the ceiling fan reflection on the coffee table. I know it looks like the table's really dusty. LOL)

That looks great, Kelley! I'm tempted to pre-order it on Amazon, but I'm not sure what my budget's going to look like by then. Where did you locate your copy?

It came from a bookstore in England via an Amazon seller in the US. You'll pay less if you wait but I couldn't wait.  roll:)

That's part of its charm! That, and the way they liked the bathroom acoustics.  ;D
